We may not necessarily be able to choose what happens in life, but we can choose how we respond.

Halcyon healing Center, Inc.

Halcyon is based on 18-acre Glenbaer Farm in rural North Carolina, located an hour north of Fort Bragg/Liberty, an hour south of Raleigh-Durham, and two-and-a-half hours west of Camp Lejeune.

Through the use of “flow state” engagements with horsemanship and events led by service members, veterans, and individuals experienced with navigating the life journey, our programs offer a supportive, decompressing environment designed to promote growth.

“Not all grief comes with trauma, but all trauma comes with grief.”~D.Kessler, ‘22

Trauma can significantly change a person. Thankfully, we’re all in this together.

Choices we make dictate the lives we lead

At this time, there is no singular way to resolve trauma experiences and compromising symptoms; what works for one person may have no effect on another. By learning about the spectrum of options and possibilities, along with receiving support in a positive environment, each trauma survivor can be best prepared to choose how to effectively respond.

Halcyon is a proud member of Charter for Compassion, promoting the ethos and essence of an inclusive, positive “compassionate community.”
